Trimming the Tree kiddy style

It has been a little weird in our house.

I had to go in to hospital on December 7th which meant that there were some things that couldn't be done, well the way they normally are done.  BUT we did get some time to spread some Christmas cheer in our home before then.

I thought I would share with you some of our Christmas Tree decorating fun.

I went to pick Jonathan up from school and arrived home to see that the elves had set up everything for us to decorate our Christmas tree!!!!

They brought new Christmas mugs for Jonathan and me (Dale doesn't get a Christmas mug ... i tried to get him a bah-humbug one but they were out of stock!!!)

They were cute wee mugs with penguins and polar bears on Jonathan's and 'Have a cup of Christmas cheer'

There were some cookies too and a note, telling us to set the mood!  Christmas music, hot chocolate and cookies and of course ... MARSHMALLOWS!!

Everything was laid out for us, with the lights on the tree already for us to get decorating ... I had a very excited boy on my hands!!!

we even have a tree for our elves!!!

Jonathan was so excited to put the first bauble on to the tree

 He LOVED it!!!

We had to leave one thing for when Dale came home - the Star.  It's a tradition in our home that the daddy puts the star on top of the tree.  He is the one who helps to lead the family and has been gifted to us from God, whom we are so grateful for.

And of course we had to do one for Jonathans room too!!

Christmas for our family is a big thing.
It's not about the Christmas tree, or the lights or the decorations.
It is so much more to us.

It is about celebrating the birth of Jesus, the Saviour of the world and the
promises that he fulfilled and continues to fulfill.
It is amazing how much love that was given to us.

We are so thankful for the love that is shown at Christmas time.  Make this Christmas more about Christ and less about the masses of gifts and food x
